Welsh fashion and homeware brand Toast presents the finalists of the 2026 edition of its New Makers initiative at NYCxDesign, spotlighting emerging artisans through an in-store exhibition.

The event follows an open call to international artists working in ceramics, textiles, wood and metal and features the designs of Jacob Marks, Yuichi Romita, Egle Silko, Hannah Watts and Linnan Ye.

Dezeen has partnered with Toast to host a talk on 15 May exploring careers in the contemporary craft industry, moderated by Dezeen's US editor Ben Dreith and welcoming basket maker Deborah Needleman, Powerhouse Art's Megan Skidmore and 2026 New Makers finalist Linnan Ye.

New Makers takes place from 14 to 20 May 2026 at Toast West Village, 271 West 4th Street, New York City, New York 10014, USA.
