Immersion is an installation commissioned by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) to celebrate the work of architect Níall McLaughlin, winner of the organisation's Royal Gold Medal.
The installation features a model of The Museum of Jesus’ Baptism, an ongoing project by McLaughlin that is set for completion in Jordan in 2030.
The model, which was designed by Níall McLaughlin Architects for the exhibition, is accompanied by a film outlining the inspiration behind the museum.
Royal Gold Medal exhibition: Níall McLaughlin takes place from 25 April to 7 June 2026 at RIBA North and Tate Liverpool, Gallery 2, 21 Mann Island, Liverpool L3 1BP, UK.
