Creative non-profit organisation the Nelly & Theo van Doesburg Platform hosts the Sowing Symposium in the public space of Sluisbuurt, located on the Zeeburgereiland island in Amsterdam.
The symposium explores art, ecology and urban development with local artists, architects, politicians, researchers and residents.
Speakers at the event include architect Emma Diehl; artist Annee Grøtte Viken; curator Jules van den Langenberg; designer Nina Kopp, colour expert Lenneke Langenhuijsen; and director of the Sandberg Instituut, Ruby Hoette.
Public artwork is also revealed at the conference, with a musical performance by Oscar le Merle and food by Héloïse Floc'h and Theo Colin.
The event is supported by the Municipality of Amsterdam and Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
