Readers say "there's no such thing as an AI artist" in this week's Dezeen Debate

The latest Dezeen Debate newsletter features renders of architect Antoni Gaudí's speculative New York hotel by AI artist Thierry Lechanteur. Subscribe to Dezeen Debate now.

AI artist Thierry Lechanteur has created digital renders of Gaudí's speculative design for a supertall hotel in New York, which were shown as part of our Gaudí Centenary series.

Readers discussed the renders, with one saying "there's no such thing as an AI artist" and another calling them "utterly pointless".

However, one stated "This kind of visualization is a good use of AI, but let's be clear, it was created by an AI user, not an AI 'artist'."
