The sixth edition of the Swiss Architecture Biennial follows the theme Handle With Care, exploring longevity, repair, maintenance and the preservation of resources in the built environment.

Organised by the International Institute of Architecture, the event launches with a three-day programme of installations, lectures and other fringe events at venues across the Swiss cities of Lugano, Bellinzona and Mendrisio.

Following the launch programme, the biennial presents an exhibition in Villa Saroli in Lugano until November.

Swiss Architecture Biennial 2026 takes place from 1 October to 28 November 2026 at various locations across Lugano, Switzerland.
