Craft x Tech is an exhibition on display at London's V&A museum during the city's 2026 design festival, exploring the dynamic between traditional Japanese craft and contemporary technology.

The exhibition features works created in collaboration with artisans from six craft regions across the Tokai area of Japan: Yohei Ito, Takanori Senda, Hiroyuki Murase, Shigeyuki Ando, Mayuki Kato and Tomoyuki Matsuda.

The craftspeople have collaborated with designers Bethan Laura Wood, David Caon, Atang Tshikare and Philippe Malouin, artist Eugene Kangawa and design studio Lanzavecchia + Wai to utilise ceramics, washi paper and textile techniques.

The second edition of this exhibition is led by design studio Tangent, with curatorial direction by curator and author Maria Cristina Didero.

The showcase takes place in the Simon Sainsbury Gallery (Room 64b) of the V&A Museum and will be closed from 21 to 23 September.
