The Modernist Weekend is an annual festival celebrating regional modernist architecture in Portugal's Algarve.

The festival programme features tours, open houses and workshops.

Highlights include a visit to Museu Zer0, the launch of the Faro Modernism book by British artist and writer Richard Walker and a tile-painting workshop with ceramicist Marisa Murtinha.

The events invite architects, designers, writers, photographers and enthusiasts of modernist buildings.

The Modernist Weekend 2026 takes place from 6 to 8 November 2026 at various locations in Faro, Olhão and Tavira, Portugal.
