Wai Shin Li is co-CEO of Dezeen.

He graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA (Hons) in architecture in 2008 before moving back to London to work for an architecture and design studio doing his part I architectural assistant training. He then pursued a different career path in business development and marketing within the architecture and design sector and joined Dezeen in 2011 as head of sales and marketing.

Wai held the position of chief revenue officer from 2018 to 2022, a role that saw him lead all of Dezeen's revenue-generating teams, including successfully launching Dezeen Awards in 2018 and Dezeen's first-ever conference Dezeen Day in 2019.

Accolades Dezeen’s revenue teams have received under Wai's leadership include Best International Commercial Team of the Year at the 2018 British Media Awards, Launch of the Year in 2019 and Best Sector-Specific Event of the Year in 2020 at the Awards Awards, Best New Conference Over 400 Delegates at the Conference Awards 2020 and Sales Team of the Year at the 2021 AOP Digital Publishing Awards.

Wai was appointed as Dezeen's co-CEO together with Benedict Hobson in 2022.
