Made in Oakfield was designed and built by a group of teenagers from Oakfield School in Hull, UK, for young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges.

The school was given a long-term lease of an allotment to provide the students with a space of their own. Working with Matt+Fiona, the group identified what they wanted on the site: a den and social space as well as an outdoor classroom. The final structure is born directly from the students' ideas. This is a project designed to empower young people to realise that they can be involved in transforming their local environment.
