Carole Baijings
Carole Baijings is the founder of Amsterdam-based design studio Carole Baijings Studio for Design.
Dutch designers Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings founded Scholten & Baijings in 2000. Scholten and Baijings found inspiration in art and design history, whilst always looking to invent new ways of living and working.
Baijings describes her practice Carole Baijings Studio for Design's philosophy as an "atelier-way-of-working", as she hand-makes her own colours, materials, and models to try and create new and unique shapes and forms.
The studio designs tableware, textiles, furniture and lighting collections and produces objects ranging from textiles, glass and ceramics.
Baijing's clients include Hay, The Art Institute of Chicago, V&A Museum, Rijksmuseum, 1616 Arita Japan, Herman Miller, Georg Jensen, MINI, Maharam, Thomas Eyck and Karimoku New Standard.
