Digital Farm Operation Center and Agronomy Workshop
Studio Dali Architects has designed the Digital Farm Operation Center and Agronomy Workshop, a space for new agriculture and community symbiosis in Hangzhou City, China.
The Digital Farm Operations Centre and Agronomy Workshop, designed by Studio Dali Architects, are situated in Pingyao Town in the Yuhang District of Hangzhou.
Guided by the concept of "harmonious coexistence with the landscape," these structures explore the symbiotic relationship between agricultural architecture and rural environments.
The operations centre takes "floating clouds" as its design inspiration, employing large-span wooden pitched roofs.
With eaves height limited to 3.5 metres to harmonise with local farmhouses, concealed shear walls and slender colonnades create a sense of lightness. The result is a central courtyard and four corner courtyards form a luminous "field sanctuary".
This project has been shortlisted in the public project (arts, culture and community) category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
