The Comfort Foundry
Canter and Gallop Design has designed the interiors of The Comfort Foundry, a household appliances manufacturer's office in San Po Kong, Hong Kong.
A Hong Kong-based manufacturer of practical household appliances sought a workspace that distinctly diverged from traditional office environments; the goal was to create a versatile setting where daily operations could coexist with product displays, while emphasising warmth and approachability over sterile corporate aesthetics.
The design needed to embody the brand's commitment to functional, everyday solutions while promoting a sense of calm productivity.
Bespoke mould-form workstations, display shelves and sculptural decorative lighting fixtures double as functional art, turning appliances into curated focal points.
This interplay of industrial inspiration and organic softness creates a space that feels both grounded and aspirational, creating a balance between utility and comfort.
The result is a quietly bold atmosphere: masculine yet inviting, retro-futuristic yet timeless and above all, a space where employees and visitors alike experience the brand's ethos through form, function and atmosphere.
This project has been shortlisted in the office interior category of Dezeen Awards China 2025.
