Winner: Rebirth project of the year 2025. Atelier Wen'Arch has renovated an office building into the Xixi Goldmye Bookstore and reading public space located in the natural landscape of Xixi Wetland in Hangzhou, China.

Commissioned by Goldmye Culture&. Media and Xixi Wetland Operation and Management, Atelier Wen'Arch transformed the originally "ordinary" office building into a bookstore through facade renovation and interior design, creating a transparent, open and flowing bookstore space in the nature of the wetland.

After stripping the original building down to its structural frame base, the design imposes a new order on the initially chaotic frame structure through the intervention of a series of new structures, transforming it into spatial fields which are deeply connected to nature.

Within the fluid space of the bookstore, diverse types of reading spaces are created, offering visitors moments of pause and immersion.
