Each member of the judging panel will judge between 30-60 projects across two project categories. This will be done remotely, with each judge scoring entries using an online scoring system. Scores will be given according to the judging criteria. The scoring will also identify suggested award winners.

9.4 Project categories judging: The third stage, called "ratification", will involve the jury meeting in person to ratify the suggested project category winners.

9.5 China Project of the Year awards: the jury will select China Project of the Year winners from the winners of the individual architecture, interiors and design project categories.
