Applied AI at Savannah College of Art and Design
The Applied AI course at Savannah College of Art and Design supports students in developing AI programmes for creative practices, with insights from leading industry experts.
At the intersection of creative vision and intelligent systems, the SCAD applied AI degree prepares a new generation of designers, storytellers and strategists to shape our shared future. In this pioneering degree programme, you will build the design, storytelling and strategy skills to develop intelligent systems with human interaction at the core.
With consideration for ethics, behaviour and cultural impact, SCAD's applied AI program balances this groundbreaking innovation with empathy, responsibility and creativity. From interactive agents and immersive environments to intelligent products and emergent platforms, you will apply the power of AI and your creative process to solve real-world problems.
Students have the option to major or minor in this program. SCAD also hosts an annual AI Summit across its Savannah and Atlanta locations, convening industry leaders, educators and students to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping creative work and how education must respond.
The summit brings together leaders from NVIDIA, Google, Adobe, Deloitte Digital, Canva, Amazon, Netflix, The Coca-Cola Company and other organisations working at the forefront of AI, design and media.
This year, SCAD students participated in a hands-on AI Jam powered by NVIDIA. Here, teams prototyped real applications of generative tools in a 48-hour studio environment.
