Bachelor of Culture and Arts (BCA) in Smart and Sustainable Design at Häme University of Applied Sciences

The Smart and Sustainable Design degree programme at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK) teaches students how to create sustainable fashion, footwear, glass and ceramics.

The programme integrates traditional design skills with modern technologies such as 3D printing and digital modelling, emphasising eco-friendly practices and material efficiency.

With studies in footwear and glass design, it's the only programme of its kind in Finland.

Students build their expertise and form valuable industry connections through real-world projects. At HAMK, you'll study different materials and techniques in authentic learning environments, whether that's draping fashion, 3D printing clay or developing your own glaze.

Graduates are prepared for careers in product development, fashion design and entrepreneurship.

After completing the course, they're ready to address global challenges through innovative design. The degree's focus on sustainability ensures students are at the forefront of responsible production and eco-conscious design trends.

At HAMK we have a rich history of 140 years of design education.
