Our brand-new postgraduate Architecture short course Future Architecture is a three-week, in-person programme designed to provide participants with a comprehensive yet accessible introduction to architectural design at The Bartlett School of Architecture.
This course will introduce participants to foundational concepts and core skills to support the study of architecture at postgraduate level and a career in the field beyond this.
Future Architecture invites participants to explore how architecture intersects with their existing expertise and importantly, how they can bring fresh perspectives to the discipline.
Alongside essential skilling, a key focus of the course is on creative methodologies that engage with racial, spatial and climate justice, highlighting their fundamental role in architectural education and the development of a more equitable and sustainable built environment.
Over three weeks, participants will gain an immersive experience of studio culture and The Bartlett's world-class facilities, with sessions ranging from site and practice visits, lectures, technical skills delivery, design project and portfolio development, individual feedback and peer review.
Through an iterative and experimental approach to design, participants will engage with both analogue and digital tools, gaining practical experience in project and portfolio building as key components of postgraduate architecture study.
