The Graduate Certificate in Public Interest Design course at Tulane University teaches students to design inclusive environments geared towards historically disadvantaged and marginalised communities.

The Graduate Certificate in Public Interest Design aims to provide students with a framework of theories and hands-on experience on how architecture, design, and the built environment can and should engage with communities, encouraging a move toward creating a more just, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable society and world.

This 18-credit certificate is a new offering at Tulane School of Architecture (TuSA) through the school's Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (SISE) Programme.

Created in collaboration with the school's architecture programme and historic preservation programme, the certificate is open to any students pursuing their Master of Architecture or Master of Science in Historic Preservation.
