Master in Immersive Experiences and XR at IE University

The Master in Design for Immersive Experiences and XR programme at IE University explores interactive, human-centred experiences across both physical and digital environments.

Designed for early to mid-career professionals from creative or technical backgrounds, the 10-month, full-time program develops expertise in extended reality (XR), spatial computing and artificial intelligence through a hands-on, studio-based approach.

Students work on real-world projects in immersive storytelling, human-computer interaction, sound and motion design, and real-time graphics while building a professional portfolio that integrates design and technology.

The curriculum progresses from hybrid physical-digital environments to virtual narratives, culminating in a final thesis project.

The program is strengthened through partnerships and industry connections with organisations and festivals including KIKK Festival, OFFF Festival, XR4Europe, Madrid in Game and IE Venture Lab, offering students access to immersive exhibitions, networking opportunities, industry immersion trips, guest lectures and entrepreneurial support within the creative technology ecosystem.
