MYOM 2023 by Make Your Own Masters

MYOM 2023 is an 18-month course at Make Your Own Masters that provides mentorship from the creative industry to students from underrepresented backgrounds.

School: Make Your Own Masters
Course: MYOM 2023
Location: London, UK, and remote
Course dates: March 2023 to September 2024
Application deadline: 30 December 2022

Make Your Own Masters is opening applications in a bid to find 10 new learners and form the 2023 collective.

The MYOM 2023 course is an experimental, self-directed, creative learning system where individuals are supported in developing their portfolio and practice as part of a group of interdisciplinary creatives.

The project exists to support anyone from an underrepresented background who has faced any barrier to industry or education by forging a career in the arts through a self-built, industry-sourced year of learning.

MYOM 2023 provides a system, structure and community to learn in and for learners to build their curriculum, where they will source briefs and gain mentorship from the creative industry.

It is an 18-month part-time programme, with a total of four months of work breaks off for participants to be able to support themselves financially throughout.

This year half of the collective will be based in London, and half will form an international cohort.

All MYOM 2023 sessions will be delivered remotely and all learners will be supported to find in-person opportunities to learn.

Applications to this course have now closed.
