Place Futures draws upon years of collective expertise in place-making, urbanism, futurism, design and brand strategy across commercial, public and academic sectors. Through Insight to Imagination to Impact, participants are guided through 46 concise online, text-based lessons with exercises and frameworks for practical application. Take the course at your own pace to work around your schedule.
Balance this individual learning with live virtual group tutorials, where we go deep into topics and share work-in-progress. These live tutorials offer opportunities for discussion, mentorship, and networking.
Ideal for urbanists, architects, policymakers, researchers, designers, strategists, technologists, educators and community organisers, our course offers a deep dive into critical, future-focused and participatory approaches.
You’ll leave equipped with tools and frameworks for capturing and mapping insights, ways of bringing Place Futures to life with deep imagination, as well as frameworks and considerations for making and evaluating impacts, including positive benefits and potential harms.
