Based at the RCA Battersea campus with exclusive studio and gallery visits, this intensive programme takes you on a journey exploring the impact of new technologies on contemporary art and its institutions, including its production, presentation, experience, collection and conservation.

Led by RCA senior tutor John Slyce and Acute Art artistic director Daniel Birnbaum, industry-leading speakers will deliver each session.

Acclaimed artist and stage designer Es Devlin is set to return as a guest speaker on the 2024 course, along with Marco Brambilla (artist and director), Hans Ulrich Obrist (curator and director of the Serpentine Gallery) and more to be announced.

"A truly interdisciplinary experience. I was so impressed by the range of fields the course was able to draw upon both in terms of speakers and students," said Thomas McLucas, 2023 participant.

This course is delivered in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Art, the world's leading university for art and design, and Acute Art, a pre-eminent producer and platform for VR in an art context.
