Michelotti Park is not only one of the most important river parks in the city of Turin, but it is also a fundamental element of the city's river park system. It is an urban-scale system embedded in the city's identity.

The course aims to explore the relationship between systemic design and visual art, and deepen the links between cultural heritage, natural heritage, territory and community.

What will I learn during this course?

– Students will explore methodologies for connecting technical expertise with humanistic competencies related to the visual arts
– The case study and the wider topic of the waterways and their relationship with the city will be analysed through a systemic approach

– There are no admission requirements. The course is only addressed to Polytechnic University of Turin students

– Students will be an integral part of the learning environment within the remarkable setting of Castello del Valentino
– Students will participate in on-site visits and workshops at the project site, the Michelotti park, formerly the Zoo of the City of Turin, now an underutilised section of the city along the banks of the Po River
