Visual Communication Design at Vilnius Academy of Arts
The Visual Communication Design programme at Vilnius Academy of Arts encourages a interdisciplinary design approach, drawing insight from sociology, psychology and journalism, and combining traditional design skills with digital methods.
The Master's programme in Visual Communication Design is intended for curious, motivated and self-directed learners who aspire to become socially responsible designers meeting international professional standards.
Graduates will be capable of transforming complex ideas into compelling visual solutions, creating and implementing visual communication design projects using new media tools within an interdisciplinary design field. They will also be able to conduct artistic research, critically evaluate and interpret design phenomena, and generate future design scenarios in both local and international contexts.
The Visual Communication Design programme prepares visionaries in the field who are able to anticipate strategic changes in visual communication design and predict challenges in both physical and virtual environments.
Graduates are socially responsible, innovative, and creative individuals capable of developing visual communication design projects using practical skills in graphic design, virtual reality, video and animation, programming and artificial intelligence.
These skills are combined with research insights from sociology, psychology, journalism and semiotics. During their studies, students are offered broad opportunities for international exchange, creative workshops and internships.
