The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) presents the 2020 Taiwan Biennial, a festival that aims to shed new light on contemporary art in Taiwan.

The main theme for this year's edition is Subzoology, which is based on  "Buddhist path of reincarnation into animals". The Biennial considers the long-term human dominance over other creatures as well as reflecting on how humans can co-exist with other sentient beings in the post-pandemic era.

Along with the main event, NTMoFA is staging satellite events outside Central Taiwan. A total of 49  artists are exhibiting their work this year.

Taiwan Biennial 2020 takes place from 17 Oct to 28 February 2021 at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, 2, SEC. 1, Wu Chuan W Road, Taichung 403 Taiwan.
