Presented by Velux, Build for Life Conference 2021 is a free digital event that aims to answer the question: "How can we create wellbeing for people and the planet through building design?"

The conference features architects, engineers, builders, researchers, and other international experts who address this question in a number of innovative ways.

Presenting from two main event stages in Copenhagen, the event features speakers such as architect and partner at Henning Larsen Architects Jakob Strømann-Andersen, doctoral candidate in architecture at the University of Nottingham Ayesha Batool and digital sustainability coordinator at White Arkitekter Alejandro Pacheco Diéguez.

Dezeen's founder and editor in chief Marcus Fairs is hosting three pannel discussions remotely from the Dezeen Studio Space in London, which will be broadcast live on Dezeen. Dezeen's China editor Christina Yao is also moderating a discussion from Shanghai.

The Build for Life Conference also hosts the ninth Velux Daylight Symposium, a biennial conference organized for researchers, architects and others with a professional interest in the importance of daylight for creating healthy and resilient buildings.

Build for Life Conference 2021 takes place online from 15 to 17 November 2021.
