Hosted by The Artling, the Parallel Universes: Parafacts and Parafictions exhibition showcases the work of 15 artists who have synthesised their view of reality with fabulation and figment or vice versa.

The exhibition takes place at Design Republic Commune, a former colonial building in Shanghai's Jing’an District, that once served as the Police Headquarters in the 1910s. It was also recently renovated by designers Neri & Hu.

The exhibition aims to transform the building's colonial architecture into a platform that brings the community together, exploring the dynamics between architecture, art and design.

Parallel Universes is curated by Peipei Han, an independent curator and former associate director of Photofairs Shanghai. It is organised by The Artling, an art and design consultancy and online art gallery.
