The UK charity Crafts Council hosts a craft school to encourage children to be creative throughout the summer.

Craft School: A Summer of Playful Making at the Crafts Council Gallery encourages visitors to use a range of materials, including clays, textiles, paper and card, to create, design and play.

Crafts School also hosts workshops every Wednesday in August to guide the making process.

As part of the event, the winners of the Craft Council's competition Craft School: Yinka’s Challenge, which was set by designer and Crafts Council trustee Yinka Ilori, are showcased in the gallery.

Craft School: A Summer of Playful Making at the Crafts Council Gallery takes place from 9 July to 3 September at the Crafts Council Gallery, 44A Pentonville Road, London, N1 9BY, UK.
