The cultural centre in Rotterdam Het Nieuwe Instituut hosts the first-ever Solar Biennale, led by designers Marjan van Aubel and Pauline van Dongen.

The event focuses on solar-powered energy and what the future will look like with its implementation.

The biennale's programme includes exhibitions, seminars, installations and sculptures and a book launch.

The Solar Biennale takes place from 2 September to 15 October at various venues across Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
