Swiss elevator and escalator brand Schindler is launching the Schindler X8 lift at Milan design week 2025, which aims to give architects more creative freedom when designing interiors.

According to the brand, the Schindler X8 requires no pit, headroom or concrete shaft.

Schindler X8 comes in an earthy brown palette and features doors that require a single cutout, meaning its floors and ceilings can be finished before the elevator is on site.

Schindler X8 is on show from 7 to 12 April 2025 at L'Opificio, Via Tortona 31, 20144 Milan, Italy.
