The fifth edition of Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism takes place in 2025, with British designer Thomas Heatherwick appointed as the event's general director.

The biennale aims to encourage citizens of Seoul to feel empowered to discuss the future of their city through exhibitions and forums, exploring human-centric design with designers, developers and neuroscientists.

The last edition offered a programme of forums and talks, exhibitions, pavilions, an opening ceremony and workshops, as well as fringe events such as film screenings, poetry readings and yoga classes.

Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2025 takes place from 26 September to 18 November 2025 at various locations across Seoul, South Korea.
