Design agency DesignSingapore Council returns to Milan design week during its 2026 edition with a new exhibition that depicts a visual representation of Singapore.

Prototype Island reimagines Singapore as an evolving prototype nation, transforming possibility into reality.

The exhibition features a wide range of disciplines, practices and forms acting as a reflection of Singapore's multicultural identity. Designers combine experimental methods, digital techniques and traditional craftsmanship to achieve a true translation of real-life values.

The exhibition is curated by Singaporean designer Hunn Wai, in collaboration with curator Eian Siew and curator and author Maria Cristina Didero.

Prototype Island by DesignSingapore Council takes place from 20 to 26 April 2026 at Foro Buonaparte 54, 20121 Milan, Italy.
