Taking place during 3 Days of Design 2026, design fair Material Matters returns to Copenhagen to host its second Danish edition.

The fair explores materiality throughout a range of architecture and design disciplines, and welcomes back exhibitors such as Dutch furniture and lighting brand Aifunghi, Swedish glass artist Jo Andersson Studios and the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), which has created an immersive exhibition with London-based studio Mitre and Mondays and furniture brand Benchmark.

Brands participating for the first time this year include Spanish materials company Birdmind, Cypriot design studio Pit-To-Table and Danish practices Bundle Studio and ReCraft Design Studios.

The exhibition spotlights bio-based composites, recycled plastics, waste, glass, ceramics, timber and bacteria-based applications.

Material Matters Copenhagen 2026 takes place from 10 to 12 June 2026 at Ukraine House, Gammel Dok, Strandgade 27B, 1401 Copenhagen, Denmark.
