Annual month-long architecture festival Archtober hosts its 16th edition, offering a New York City-wide programme of events in October.

The festival presents exhibitions, workshops, talks, screenings and tours celebrating the city's built environment and following the theme In Our Hands.

This year's theme explores how architects, designers and creatives can play an active role in shaping the future, considering advances in technology, climate change and government policies.

Each event addresses one of five categories: nature, media, culture, history or education.

Programme highlights include the newsstand installation with art duo Data Vandals, located on the downtown 6-train platform at 51st and Lexington.

Archtober 2026 takes place from 1 to 31 October 2026 at various locations across New York City, New York, USA.
