Hew armchair by Goodrich for Parla

Design studio Goodrich sought to bring character and refinement to seating for commercial settings with its Hew armchair for Turkish brand Parla.

The hospitality-focused designers brought their interiors expertise to bear on the Hew armchair, looking to the act of hewing timber to impart an elevated aesthetic.

Hew armchair by Goodrich for Parla
The Hew armchair is designed for hospitality and commercial settings

The armchair features sculptural ash wood legs that appear as if they are splitting the upholstered volume above, a trait shared by a matching larger-scale sofa.

At the same time, the upholstery wraps uninterrupted across the seat, arms and back of the chair, allowing directional patterns to flow continuously.

The armchair is built with the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Parla is known for, and can be completed with a choice of wood finishes or RAL colours on the legs and fabrics for the upholstery.

The Hew armchair is on show at BDNY at the Jacob K Javits Center from 8 to 9 November 2026 at booth 1473. The booth was also designed by Goodrich.
