Milan 09: Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana have designed Cipria, a fake fur-covered sofa, for Italian brand Edra.
The sofa is part of Edras new collection, unveiled at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan this week.

Cipria Fernando and Humberto Campana
Cipria is a deliberately iconic piece. The settee has 9 cushions fixed to an invisible metal tube frame. The stuffing is Gellyfoam® and Dacron wadding while the ecological fur covering comes in different hair lengths to produce variations on the original theme.

I don´t understand. If an unknown designer showed this to Edra or Moroso he would receive a big laugh in his face.
Why art director don´t worry more about the project and less with the designer´s name.
This is just ugly. Campana brothers have made some great stuff but sometimes they miss it bad.

Trouble with Tribble Couches.
I don’t enjoy much of what they do and would have to say I find this to be among their more tolerable pieces. I could easily see myself reclining on the pink one, the odd dimensions adding to my enjoyment factor…
Those a wonderful. The ironic play on the marshmellow sofa is just great, and firmly in the Edra tradition of wackiness.
The fake fur is going to be a nightmare to maintain. I am trying to picture how you keep this from getting a life of its own in the middle of a room. Perhaps Edra have an idea about that.

I’m more intrigued with the “gellyfoam” aspect of the chair myself. But while I’ve never thought their pieces were more than visually creative pieces, this one actually looks comfortable and dare I say it, like an actual piece of furniture. But with a name like Edra along with Campana… $$$. :)
The Campana Brothers are genius! I love everything they do- their vision is playful sculptural and cosmic- give me more.

I like them. The pink one is especially interesting, it’s so inviting. I’d kill to have that in my home.
