Architect Piers Gough of CZWG and fashion designer Paul Smith discuss their designs for the latest Maggie’s Centre for cancer care in Nottingham, UK, in this movie by filmmakers Living Projects.
Here are some more shots of the recently opened Maggie’s Centre for cancer care in Nottingham, England, this time by photographer Michael Whelan.

British architect Piers Gough of CZWG designed the centre, while fashion designer Paul Smith was responsible for the interior.

The building's walls comprise four interlocking ovals, elevated above the ground and clad in green glazed tiles.

Maggie's Nottingham opened to the public on Wednesday and anyone affected by cancer is invited to pop in for a cup of tea and a chat.

This is the second of three centres opening in the UK this year, following one recently completed in Glasgow by OMA.

Oh dear, that really is ugly. It's like someone wound back the clock 20 years, went to the most provincial architecture school, found the most offensive project, and then built it. And to top it off, it looks like they sourced the furniture from an old people's home.
Ehh. Pretty sloppy detail connection in that first photo.
Guaranteed that thing leaks like a sieve. Just sayin'.
The first image is very suggestive of lady parts.
i dunno. is it ironic? or post ironic, or faux ironic po mo?
makes a pig ark look like a palace.
interesting form.. reminds me that famous line in Scarface
Wow…what a great disappointment. I think the interior look far better than the architecture.
Most ugly Maggie Centre of all the series!
That is so ugly.
