News: apartments for OMA's twin towers in Stockholm have gone on sale, with construction set to begin in the spring.
Designed by OMA partner Reinier de Graaf, the residential skyscrapers are set to become the Swedish capital's third and fourth tallest buildings. The tallest will be 120 metres high, while the second will be 104 metres.
Located at Torsplan in the city's Hagastaden district, the buildings were formerly known as Tors Torn but have now been renamed as Norra Tornen, which translates as North Towers.
Both will feature a prefabricated concrete structure made of overlapping cubes, creating a staggered volume that frames projecting living rooms and sheltered balconies.

According to OMA, this rough concrete exterior will "make reference to the colours of inner city Stockholm".
"We are very proud of the new Norra Tornen – two tall residential towers with the largest possible articulation of the individual units, shaped through a simple play between two basic elements of architecture, the bay window and the balcony," said De Graaf.
The buildings will offer approximately 300 apartments, of which 195 have gone on the market with developer Oscar Properties. Shops will be located at ground-floor level.
Construction is due to start in May. OMA Associates Alex de Jong and Michel van de Kar are also working on the design.
