Call for entries to the A' Design Awards and Competition 2016

Dezeen promotion: entries are now open for architects and designers to submit projects for the A' Design Awards and Competition 2016 (+ slideshow).

Founded in 2009, the A' Design Awards aim to recognise and promote international design projects.

An international jury of academics, design professionals and press members will award Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron levels of distinction to projects from each of the categories that span architecture, interiors and design – see the full list of categories.

Winners will receive a certificate of excellence and a 3D-printed trophy during a gala that will take place in Como, Italy, in June 2016.

Recipients of the prize will also have information about their project converted into over 20 languages and be given help when promoting their work to international media, along with marketing advice.

Projects designed within the last 10 years will be accepted from any country, and can be submitted from disciplines including furniture, architecture and graphic design.

Past winners include a wooden community centre in the earthquake-affected Japanese town of Yamada by Van Der Architects and SOM's Mumbai international airport terminal, which has a coffered concrete canopy.

The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2015. Results will be announced to the public and published on Dezeen on 15 April 2016.

Every year, projects that focus on innovation, technology, design and creativity are awarded with the A' Design Awards. Early Entries are accepted annually till 30 June and results are announced every year on 15 April.
