Competition: win a two night stay at the Alpaga hotel in France

In our latest competition, we've teamed up with the Alpaga chalet in Megève, France, to offer readers the chance to win a two night stay for two people and dinner in the hotel's Michelin star restaurant.

This competition has now closed.

Nestled in the French alps with views over Mont Blanc, the five-star Alpaga hotel is formed of several chalets.

One reader will win two nights bed and breakfast in a Classic room as well as dinner for two in La Table de l'Alpaga, which was recently awarded its second Michelin star.

The Classic rooms have either a balcony or terrace with views over the surrounding peaks and are decorated in a warm yet contemporary style inspired by the traditional architecture of Megève.

Guests can spend the day skiing before warming up by the fire and reading a book in the hotel bar. The less formal of the hotel's eating and drinking spaces, L'Onyx serves cocktails and other beverages as well as food.

Dishes on the menu include trout filet from Savoie with shellfish sauce, spelt risotto with truffle, linguine with dill and caviar cream, and chicken breast with mushroom sauce and wild thyme.

The winner will enjoy dinner for two in the more sophisticated La Table de l'Alpaga, where head chef Anthony Bisquerra has earned two Michelin stars for his seasonal menu. "From the Atlantic coasts to the Megevane lands, Bisquerra has built strong relationships with local craftsmen," said Alpaga. "Passionate about taste, he offers an exclusive menu using exceptional products that change with the seasons."

Choose from the preamble, lake and ocean, land, vegetable, grazing and sweet sections of the menu, or indulge in a five or seven course tasting menu, available with paired wine.
