The Malachite living room was assembled as part of Fornasetti's handmade Unusual Living Rooms range, which comprises five different room proposals made up of five different product collections.
The layered pattern, which was inspired by the deep green Malachite gemstone, can be seen printed across a coffee table, a side table, an upholstered chair and a sofa.
Combining decorative patterns with pure lines, the Italian decorative arts company describes its Malachite set-up as "a magical corner of enchanting beauty".
According to the brand, the creative idea behind the print was found in a small handwritten booklet of unpublished sketches by founder Piero Fornasetti, recently unearthed from the brand's archive.
Each of the prints featured across the five Unusual Living Rooms spaces aims to celebrate the "unmistakable" line and style of Fornasetti's drawings, and pays homage to "that black line that comes from drawing and engraving".
