Eden's hexagon-shaped module for placement in corners

Eden sofa by Rodolfo Dordoni for RODA

Dezeen Showroom: Eden is a plush modular sofa that was created by Italian designer Rodolfo Dordoni for RODA so it can be easily rearranged.

The couch was designed for use outside as well as indoors, with a frame made from responsibly sourced teak wood. Eden's base is finished with a pale, weather-resistant coating that enhances the wood's natural grain.

Eden consists of a series of modules that can be used on their own as ottomans or merged together to form different seating constellations. A flexible, hexagonal component can be placed in corners to create an L-shape.

The couch comes with generously sized cushions and two different backrest options – either an interwoven padded belt or one made of durable, PVC-coated polyester.

According to Dordoni, Eden was designed to encapsulate the restorative power of spending time in nature.

"The name communicates the feeling of peace and joy we have when outdoors," he explained.
