Dezeen Showroom: delicate-looking steel mesh and earthy colours characterise the Luna outdoor chair, designed by Charles Wilson for Australian brand King.

Wilson took cues from nature when creating the Luna chair, which led to its organically-shaped bucket seat and branching support structure.

King describes Luna as "generous and sophisticated", with its seat resembling a "water flower in full bloom".

The seat is made of a seemingly delicate but strong steel mesh while its frame is formed from precision-welded bent steel. Like all of King's steel products, the frame has a 10-year warranty.

The Luna chair can be powder-coated in four neutral shades – salt, rock, eucalyptus or blush.

It comes with a removable cushion, which is attached using a concealed magnet and upholstered with Sunbrella waterproof fabric as standard, or any other textile or leather by request.
