Norma outdoor kitchen system by Roda

Norma outdoor kitchen by Rodolfo Dordoni for Roda

Dezeen Showroom: architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni has created a modular outdoor kitchen system for furniture brand Roda.

The Norma outdoor kitchen collection is comprised of two freestanding units – one for preparing food and one for cooking it – with surface tops made from sintered Lapitec stone.

The sink module can be extended to form a small dining area

The preparation module acts as a kitchen island with a steel sink and an extendable table that can be unfolded to free up additional workspace or create a small dining area.

Norma's cooking unit, which can be stored beneath the extendable table, incorporates a large five-burner gas stove and is fitted with wheels that allow the unit to be moved with ease.

The modules can also be fitted with refrigerators, steel grill plates and wooden cutting boards to optimise the outdoor cooking experience.

Norma was developed in collaboration with Italian appliance manufacturer Ilve and attempts to bring professional kitchen equipment to domestic outdoor spaces.
