Stair table lamp by Notchi Architects for Oblure

Dezeen Showroom: a playful approach to geometry and gravity informed Oblure's Stair lamp, created by Notchi Architects to resemble a sphere balanced on the edge of a staircase.

The Stair table lamp has a solid, stepped steel base with a spherical light fixed on top, which is designed to create "curiosity and awaken the child within," according to Oblure.

The Stair table lamp plays with geometry and gravity

"The balance between playfulness and seriousness is reflected in the design and brings to mind old-fashioned building blocks that the designers used to play with as children," said Oblure.

Stair can double as a bookend and works well when placed on a desk, bedside table, or within a children's playroom.

The lamp is equally at home in a living room, office or child's playroom

The table lamp includes two USB-C ports integrated into the base, so it can be used to discreetly charge phones or other gadgets.

Stair is available in a choice of four colours including beige, black, red or yellow.
