Two months left to enter Dezeen's Future Mobility Competition powered by Arrival

There are just two months left to enter our Future Mobility Competition powered by Arrival, which calls for innovative solutions that reimagine the future of transportation. Enter now before the contest closes for entries on 14 April.

Announced last month, Dezeen and electric vehicle company Arrival have teamed up to launch a global design contest that seeks to support emerging talent bringing radical solutions to solve mobility challenges in cities and, in turn, create true sustainability and empower local communities.

Contestants are asked to identify problems with mobility in their city, or a city they are familiar with, and propose solutions – big or small, for land, sea or air – that will improve how people move around their environment.

The contest is free to enter until 14 April 2022 and has total prize money of $85,000, with a top prize of $25,000.

Full details of how to enter the competition can be found in the competition brief and rules.

Kunlé Adeyemi, Elizabeth Diller and Yves Béhar among the judges

Earlier this month, we announced the expert judging panel that will assess the competition entries and select the winners.

The panel comprises renowned architects and designers, including Kunlé Adeyemi of architecture, design and urbanism studio NLÉ, Elizabeth Diller of New York studio Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Yves Béhar of Fuseproject and Daniel Simon, best known for his contributions to feature films such as Tron: Legacy, Oblivion and Star Wars VIII.

The four designers will be joined by Jeremy Offer and Martina Wierzbicki from Arrival, as well as Marcus Fairs and Cajsa Carlson from Dezeen.

The judges will be looking for talented individuals to present insightful and impactful designs carried out with high-quality execution, as well as radical and visionary proposals that solve mobility challenges.

How to enter

Entrants must submit a description of the mobility problem their design seeks to solve and explain how it is solved in their proposal to improve people's lives, along with supporting imagery showcasing the design.

Entrants have the option to produce a video or animation of the design, which should be uploaded to an external hosting platform such as YouTube or Vimeo and submitted via a URL.
