Dezeen Showroom: Spanish tile brand Estudio Ceramico has launched the Renaissance tile collection, combining deep green hues and a classic Mediterranean style.

The Renaissance collection borrows its design from traditional hydraulic tiles – a style popular throughout Spain in the 19th and 20th centuries and characterised by its decorative pressed motifs.

Another source of inspiration for the porcelain tiles is the semi-precious emerald stone, with all four designs across the collection using its deep green hue and striated patterning.

Estudio Ceramico describes the resulting product as having a "soft industrial look" that is ideal for contemporary interiors.

The Corner design has a more understated look

"Renaissance has great magnetism thanks to its intense colour," said Estudio Ceramico sales and marketing manager Manuel Fernandez.

The Renaissance collection features three designs with a bold stone-inlay look – Frame, Cross and Mandorla – and one more understated style, Corner. They can be used alone or in combination.
