Grohe's Milan design week installation creates reflections in historic courtyard

Grohe's water-inspired installation in the courtyard of a historic art museum features in this Instagram Reel produced by Dezeen for the brand as part of Milan design week.

Grohe, a manufacturer of sanitary fittings for kitchens and bathrooms, has overhauled the courtyard of Milan's Pinacoteca di Brera to showcase its newly revitalised premium sub-brand named Grohe Spa.

Grohe has created a water-inspired installation for Milan design week

The installation includes a reflective pool of water with four mirrored cubes at each of its corners, which contain exhibits that reference Grohe Spa's design ethos.

The pool of water creates reflections of the features within the neoclassical courtyard, including a bronze statue of Napoleon in its centre and two storeys of columns framing arched walkways.

Within each cube, a different aspect of the Grohe Spa brand and its "health through water" concept are revealed.

Exhibits include custom 3D metal-printed products, the bespoke Atrio and Allure Private collections, modular shower solutions, and Grohe Spa's portfolio of colours and finishes.

The installation was designed by Grohe's in-house design team Lixil Global Design.

Visitors can see the installation until 23 April at Pinacoteca di Brera, Via Brera 28, Milan.
