Dezeen Showroom: Italian furniture brand Bolzan celebrates fine tailoring with its cocooning Tata bed, which is entirely upholstered in leather.

Designed in-house by Bolzan Lab, the Tata bed features a low, modern and slim-profiled wooden bed frame, neatly upholstered in finely stitched leather.

Both the headboard and base have a subtly concave shape, giving the bed an embracing feel when lounging and sleeping alike.

The small feet are almost hidden from view beneath the low frame, causing the bed to appear as if it is floating above the floor.

"[Tata is the] perfect blend of timeless elegance and refined functionality," said Bolzan. "The piece celebrates craftsmanship through careful and meticulous tailoring."

The bed is available with the optional addition of two slim cushions, designed to sit flat against the headboard and be reclined when desired. It fits a 180-by-200-centimetre mattress.
