Dezeen Showroom: South Korean brand Rareraw has created System000, a modular steel shelving system, using patented technology and a self-developed structural system.

Built from steel, System000 functions through an "open system" that can be arranged into various compositions depending on the user's preference.

"System000 was designed as an open system – something users can interpret and recompose in their own way," said Rareraw.

"It can create a wide range of spatial configurations through various types of posts and units."

To encourage customisation, the units come available in a broad range of colours including grey, black and yellow, as well as the silvery tone of unfinished steel.

The design by Rareraw also features integrated lighting that illuminates the shelves for practicality as well as to enhance its "visual atmosphere".
